CBD Natural Deodorant? The latest CBD Invention

While you may know all about CBD lotions and oils that have flooded the wellness market, you may not have ever heard of the newest edition -– CBD deodorant.

Many use organic or natural products as alternatives to mainstream products, but most don’t have the same focus when it comes to their deodorant.

CBD infused products are no new creation – otherwise you wouldn’t be here right? But what are the benefits of going natural when it comes to deodorant and why do you need CBD in it too.

We’re going to take a look at what goes into the commercial deodorants you are placing on your delicate skin, and talk about the benefits of natural deodorants, if they’re worth the switch and if adding innovative ingredients such as CBD is the future of underarm care?

In this post we’ll cover:

  • What’s in your commercial deodorant?
  • What are the benefits of natural deodorant
  • Why CBD in deodorant?

What’s in your commercial deodorant?

As we’ve become more aware of how some chemicals interact with our bodies, more natural products have sprung onto the market to replace popular commercial deodorant, making it far simpler to find something to suit your needs and health goals. But why has there been a huge shift to natural from conventional deodorant brands?

Most common supermarket antiperspirants and deodorants are filled with a number of metals, plastics and endocrine (hormone) disrupting compounds, designed to block your sweat glands and stop you from smelling. This can interfere with your body’s lymphatic system which can inhibit your body’s ability to cleanse itself of harmful materials.

But is this so harmful you need to ditch your regular brand? Well the lymphatic system is the mastermind behind the perspiration process. As an important regulatory system in our body, the lymph system acts as a filter; removing any abnormal cells, debris or pathogens entering the body as well as sending out lymphocytes – disease-fighting cells.

This process is enacted by lymph glands, which are located in the throat, chest, forearms, groin, and you guessed it – underarms. Blocking these glands and stopping the natural perspiration, and therefore the filtration process.

While the effects of commercial deodorants are still being researched, a 2005 study into ingredients such as aluminum salts revealed that chemicals such as aluminum chlorohydrate and aluminum chloride could interfere with estrogen receptors in the breasts, which could lead to abnormal growths.

So, what does this mean for you, go grab your deodorant and see if you can find the following ingredients in yours:

  • Aluminum – A primary ingredient in most deodorants and antiperspirants you’ll buy at the store. It’s a metal that has been linked to having potential carcinogenic effects.
  • Parabens – A synthetic preservative found in many personal care products. Parabens are known endocrine disruptors, having the ability to disrupt hormonal balance.
  • Propylene glycol – A petroleum-based material that in large quantities is toxic.
  • Phthalates – Another class of chemical endocrine disruptor linked to a variety of health issues, but mostly entering on reproductive health issues.
  • Triclosan – This chemical is classified as a pesticide by the FDA and a probable carcinogen by the Environmental Protection Agency.

These are just five main ingredients often found in supermarket deodorants and antiperspirants, however depending on your brand of deodorant, there may be more. There is no conclusive evidence that these ingredients are extremely harmful. However, it has become a huge trend within the skincare and beauty industry to make products without these ingredients due to fears there could be a risk to health.

With your best health at the forefront, it’s all about making intelligent choices that you can feel safe about making for you and your family.

What are the benefits of natural deodorant?

Our body has numerous ways to effectively target and get rid of pollutants by way of our immune and lymphatic systems. One efficient way we have evolved to this is by way of perspiration.

Using a natural deodorant doesn’t block the natural perspiration process, giving your body the chance to flush out any toxins and chemicals that enter our bodies in our everyday environment.

Here are some of the benefits of using natural deodorant.

  • Help improve skin texture
  • Natural ingredients
  • Free from chemicals
  • Doesn’t block the release of toxins

Why CBD in deodorant?

These days you’ll struggle to find any skincare or beauty product that hasn’t been infused with CBD, and now there’s CBD deodorant. Hemp has long been known for its skincare benefits as it’s packed skin-boosting properties such as omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants.

While there are millions of creams and lotions with CBD focusing on our face, why not apply those benefits to our forgotten underarms too? CBD hemp extracts contain a list of skin boosting components such as:

  • Omega 3 fatty acids – integral to skin health.
  • Antioxidants – Vitamin C and E are antioxidants that fight free radicals that cause oxidative stress in cells.
  • Anti-acne qualities that include sebum control for dry and oily skin
  • Analgesic and calming benefits may aid those experiencing irritation of the skin, from ingrown hairs, caused by razor burn and other kinds of hair removal practices.

Where to buy natural deodorant comes down to what makes the most sense to you, however we decided to help you take the guesswork out of this process by creating our own natural CBD deodorant.

Our CBD Deodorant Cream includes:

  • Moisturising shea-butter
  • Perspirant wicking arrowroot
  • Fresh lime peel oil
  • Antibacterial coconut oil
  • 100mg of CBD

How to use natural deodorant + CBD

Just dip your fingers into the deodorant paste and rub it into your armpits. You may find at first that you need to apply this deodorant a few times a day as your body gets used to a more natural product, however, it shouldn’t take long before you begin to get used to it.

Why you should choose natural deodorant really comes to making healthful choices for yourself.

By making sure you’re keeping harmful chemicals out of your health and hygiene care, you’ll be making the right choices for yourself and loving the skin you’re in along the way.

Final thoughts

While supermarket deodorants may be effective, they could be disrupting your delicate lymphatic system and potentially causing imbalances in your hormones and perhaps much else. By switching to a natural deodorant that uses organic and natural ingredients, and includes CBD in the mix, your skin can benefit from the extra nutrients and antioxidants that are in hemp, while leaving out all the nasties.
