Not All Suppositories Are Created Equal
A suppository has to hold its shape on a shelf, release its contents at body temperature and contain nothing you would not want in contact with sensitive tissue. That last requirement rules out most of what the wider supplement industry uses to make things stable. Ours are vegan, preservative-free and non-GMO, built on a base chosen for how it behaves rather than for cost, and the hemp extract is the same CO2 extract from our own crop that goes into the oils.

What Are CBD Suppositories
A CBD suppository is hemp extract set into a base that stays solid at room temperature and softens at body temperature. It is inserted rectally or vaginally rather than swallowed, which puts the extract in contact with tissue that absorbs readily. Each of ours holds 50mg of full spectrum extract, and a pack holds ten, giving 500mg in total.
The reason the format exists is the digestive system. Anything swallowed passes through the gut and the liver before it reaches general circulation, and a share of it is metabolised on the way. A suppository takes a different route entirely. That is a real difference in how the extract is delivered, and it is why the format persists in a category that otherwise sells almost everything as CBD oil drops or CBD capsules.

How many are in a pack?

Why does the route of administration matter?
Anything swallowed is absorbed through the gut and passes through the liver before reaching general circulation, where part of it is metabolised. That is first-pass metabolism. A suppository is absorbed through tissue that does not follow the same path, which is the pharmacological reason the format exists.
What makes an extract full spectrum?

How is the cannabinoid content verified?

Do these contain THC?
They contain the trace amount naturally present in full spectrum hemp extract, consistent with the rest of our full spectrum range at less than 0.2%. That is not an intoxicating quantity by any route of administration.
Will a suppository make me feel intoxicated?
No. Cannabidiol is not intoxicating regardless of how it is taken, and the trace THC in a hemp extract is far below an intoxicating level. Changing the route does not change the pharmacology of the compound.

They are more heat-sensitive than anything else we send. In hot weather we would suggest ordering to an address where the parcel will not sit in the sun, and letting it cool before opening if it arrives warm.
