This is the concentrate itself, dispensed from a graduated syringe with no carrier oil thinning it. Raw CBD plus CBDa or heat-activated CBD, at 200mg, 300mg and 500mg per millilitre, from hemp we grow and process ourselves and test independently every batch.
Concentration is unforgiving. Thin an extract into a 3% oil and small imperfections vanish into the carrier, but a paste at 500mg per millilitre is almost entirely extract, so whatever came off the field is sitting right there in the syringe. That is why we have never bought extract in from a broker. We know which harvest each batch came from because we grew it.
These are made with supercritical CO2 in our own facility, which counts for more here than anywhere else in the range. Hydrocarbon extraction is cheaper and common in the concentrate trade, and it leaves residual solvent that has to be purged afterwards, with the purge only ever as good as whoever ran it. CO2 leaves nothing to remove. The raw extracts are not heated afterwards, so the CBDa the plant made is still in the paste, which is why they are darker and stiffer than the heat-activated ones.
This is the strong end of the range and it is a poor place to begin. A single millilitre of the 500mg paste contains a great deal more cannabidiol than the Food Standards Agency advises a healthy adult to take in a fortnight, and it is dispensed against a graduation mark rather than counted in drops. If CBD is new to you, the oils and capsules are the sensible starting point. If you already know exactly what you take, this is the format that gets out of the way.

A CBD extract is what comes out of the hemp before anybody dilutes it. Everything else in this shop is built from the same material. An oil is extract blended into hemp seed oil, a capsule is extract sealed in a shell, a gummy is extract worked into a sweet base. Sold on its own it arrives in a graduated syringe, because a paste this thick will not pour and a dropper would not shift it.
Ours is made by driving carbon dioxide through hemp at a pressure and temperature where it behaves as both a liquid and a gas, which pulls the cannabinoids and terpenes across together. Drop the pressure and the CO2 simply evaporates, leaving extract with no solvent to strip out. The raw versions stop at that point. The heat-activated versions go through decarboxylation, which turns CBDa into CBD and visibly lightens both colour and texture.
Strength is stated per millilitre and both parts of the figure matter. The percentage tells you how concentrated the paste is, at 20%, 30% or 50%. The milligram figure tells you what a millilitre holds. Because you dispense against a graduation rather than counting drops, a very small movement of the plunger is a large amount of cannabidiol, which is worth knowing before you start rather than after.
Extract is chosen by people who already know what they take and would rather have it without a carrier oil in the way. That is a smaller group than the rest of the shop, and this page is written for them rather than around them.
The five differ in two respects only: concentration, and whether they have been heated. Hemp, extraction and testing are identical across all of them.
If any of that sounds like more than you were after, that is a fair reaction, and the oils collection is where most people should be looking.
The concentrate taken out of the hemp plant before it is diluted into anything else, supplied in a graduated syringe at 20%, 30% or 50%. It is the same material that goes into our oils and capsules, without the carrier oil.
Concentration and how you dispense it. An oil is extract thinned into hemp seed oil so it pours and measures in drops. An extract is the paste alone, pushed out against a marking. Same hemp, same extraction, a very different amount per millilitre.
Dispense a small amount against the graduation and take it directly, or stir it into food or a warm drink, which softens the taste a good deal. The paste stiffens at room temperature and moves more easily if you warm the syringe in your hand first.
Because nothing has been taken out. Raw extract keeps the chlorophyll, plant waxes and CBDa that decarboxylation would otherwise alter or drive off. The colour is a sign it has been left alone, not a sign of anything wrong.
Strong, bitter and unmistakably green. There is no carrier and no flavouring to soften it, which is the honest cost of buying the concentrate rather than the oil. Taking it with food helps.
Past a certain pressure and temperature, carbon dioxide stops being purely gas or purely liquid and behaves as something in between. It then travels through the plant the way a gas would while dissolving compounds the way a solvent would. Release the pressure and it returns to gas.
Yes, because concentration works on everything and not only on the parts you wanted. Whatever counts as a trace at 3% is many times more present once the same material reaches 50%. Using CO2 means there is nothing to concentrate in the first place.
The reaction that converts CBDa into CBD, driven by heat and time. Left alone it creeps along at room temperature, and applied heat drives it through in minutes. We put the heat-activated extracts through that step on purpose and leave the raw ones out of it.
Hemp draws metals and residues out of the ground, and concentrating the plant concentrates whatever it took up. A clean field is necessary but not sufficient. The certificate that matters is the one on the finished batch.
No, and search results for concentrates mix the two constantly. Dabbing means heating a high-THC cannabis concentrate and inhaling the vapour. This is a hemp extract made to be swallowed. Same word, entirely different product and entirely different legal position in the UK.
By the container rather than as a percentage, and cumulatively across several controlled cannabinoids rather than THC alone. Because that is not the same measure used in other markets, we point you at the certificate for your batch rather than quoting a figure that would mean something different elsewhere.
It is not made for that and we would advise against it. The paste contains plant waxes and lipids that are perfectly fine to swallow and are not intended to be heated and inhaled. If inhaling is what you want, this is the wrong product.
The Food Standards Agency advises against CBD for anyone under 18, anyone pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, anyone on medication and anyone immunosuppressed. Given the concentration involved here, that advice is worth taking seriously.
In a sealed graduated syringe inside plain outer packaging that names nothing. The syringe also survives transit far better than glass, which is part of why the category settled on it.
No. Keep it somewhere cool, dry and out of direct light. Cold makes the paste stiffer and harder to dispense, so a cupboard beats a fridge.
Yes, at a lower price than a one-off order. Given how long a syringe lasts, most people on a repeat schedule here set a longer interval than they would for oil.
