What is CBD oil?

Endoca CBD oils are derived from the hemp plant (Cannabis Sativa). CBD or its scientific name Cannabidiol is a natural plant molecule found abundantly in hemp. CBD works by stimulating your endocannabinoid system, to help promote balance, and calm in your body.

By extracting oil from hemp we are able to harness the beneficial properties, that the compound CBD naturally has to offer. We believe in the goodness of the whole plant, so our extracts contain a full spectrum of cannabinoids and not just CBD. Endoca CBD oils are a perfect combination of our highly concentrated CBD extract and our rich hemp seed oil. We maintain the integrity of the whole plant in our extraction process, so you receive the full CBD benefits.

We have found out that cannabis/hemp contains over 400 molecules – and in recent research we have discovered there are a group of molecules that cannabis produces called cannabinoids, which are mostly responsible for its effects. There are over 120 cannabinoids including CBD, THC, CBG, CBC and CBN.

The best way to take CBD oil depends on the individual. For example, if you’re after a quick and effective way to take CBD oil that can be taken anytime, anywhere, then using CBD oil under the tongue could be the best method for you.

However, if you don’t like the taste of hemp and want an easier way to see how many milligrams of CBD you’re taking, swallowing CBD capsules is the best way.

Alternatively, if you want to use it externally or in a targeted area and avoid digestion completely, then applying CBD skincare or using CBD suppositories is the best method for you.

The difference between CBD and CBDa is down to their natural state. CBDa turns into CBD when heated

  • CBD (cannabidiol) is a wonderful natural botanical compound found in the hemp plant. It is made when heat is applied to CBDa (changing its molecular structure). This is known as the decarboxylation process and can naturally occur in the growing process.
  • CBDa is the acidic precursor (or raw state) of CBD. When the hemp plant (cannabis sativa) is in its natural state, it produces CBDa first – and only after heating or ageing under the sun does the CBDa transform into CBD. Products such as our Raw Hemp Oil Drops allow you to get the health benefits of the hemp plant as nature intended.

A famous cannabinoid is THC, which is psychoactive and responsible for the high. However, at Endoca we produce products with a high concentration of the cannabinoid CBD – which does not give the high.

The terms CBD oil and hemp oil are sometimes used interchangeably as both contain the compound cannabidiol (CBD).

Hemp oil is exclusively made from the hemp plant (not the seeds) and contains the compound CBD, with low amounts of THC (0.2%).

CBD oil is an oil that also contains CBD but can be made from hemp or high THC strains of cannabis. Hemp oil and CBD oil can be the same thing if they are both made from the hemp plant.
