In a report by RT.com, cannabis vaporizers tested by the National Health Service (NHS) are looked into.
The NHS sets a standard
The vapor pen manufacturer is confident that the testing will set a standard for cannabis products to be tested by a reputable organization. This is the only way the public perception can be positively impacted upon, and products properly regulated.
The CBD (cannabidiol) vape pen has been legal and on the UK market for a year now, and comes highly recommended by many patients using it for relieving pain, anxiety, fibromyalgia, depression, arthritis and other conditions.
Cannabidiol is an extract from the cannabis plant, which is non-psychoactive, and used for its medicinal properties. The manufacturers of the CBD oil vape pen collaborated with the NHS’s pharmacists who are responsible for production and regulatory testing over the last few months.

Transparent regulations open doors
The report from the NHS might be the door opening for the medical cannabis industry in the UK to flourish.
Jordan Owen director of Medipen said the close work with the NHS brought about meticulous analysis of their propriety formulation in terms of safety and cannabidiol concentrations. As the first cannabis product to be tested, they are optimistic that this could bring about a breakthrough in the UK cannabis market allowing the provision of reputable products.
He says that over the last year, Medipen has rapidly become one of the most highly rated CBD vaporizers around the world. As the leading cannabis biotechnology company in the UK, the company is excited to have set a benchmark in providing a much needed sense of legitimacy in the rapidly growing cannabis industry.
A petition of 237,000 signatures to legalize the drug was debated in Parliament last year, but was dismissed.
Due to non-disclosure agreements on sharing client information, the NHS was not allowed to comment on testing procedures. A detailed report on the testing procedures and CBD oil extraction method will be made public later to confirm purity and the cannabidiol profile.
Vaporizers are popular
Vaporizers are becoming increasingly popular. They work by heating the cannabis at a cooler temperature than smoking. Vaporization is around 200°C, at which temperature the active ingredients in cannabis are converted to gas or vapor.
The vapor is smokeless and contains the active ingredients of marijuana, but not the harmful chemicals found in smoke. Vaporizers can be used with dry plant material, or liquids or concentrates such as CBD oil.
If marijuana is burned when smoked, it releases harmful by-products such as tar, similar to tobacco. Using a vapor avoids these harmful effects, and the vapor contains higher concentrations of the active compounds such as CBD.
CBD oil vape
Using a CBD oil vape is a safe and effective way of administering cannabidiol in patients with pain. The dosage can be controlled, and is immediately absorbed in the bloodstream in comparison to ingesting the oil, which must first pass through the digestive system to have an effect.
