We’ve heard a lot about cannabinoid oil for seizures. Now ABC 10.com has placed an article on two dads saying cannabinoid oil for seizure saved their sons’ lives.
Jayden David has Dravet syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy and autism, and he has had up to 1,000 seizures a day. Jayden’s dad, and another dad from Modesto, say that modern medicine didn’t cut it for their sons, so they turned to medical marijuana, and they believe it saved both their sons’ lives.
Jayden goes up to eight days without any seizures since he has been on “Jayden’s Juice”, a cannabinoid oil for his seizures. It’s a CBD oil, and has just a trace of THC: about one milligram, says his dad Jason.
He says his son has been “high” on chemicals for years because of being on 22 pills a day. He is trying to wean him off the medication to get his son back. He is on one and a quarter pills a day now – and his “Jayden’s juice”. Jason says Jayden is now 10, and life isn’t perfect, but their quality of life has improved a million times as Jayden’s health improves.
The second dad, Mike, and his wife Kate, turned to non-psychoactive cannabis oil in desperation when Kase was suffering multiple seizures at just eight months old, and they’re not looking back. They have been giving three-year old Kase, “Jayden’s juice” ever since. Kase still has seizures but he is in a much better place, says Mike.

Two dads wanting to help others
Both dads said seeing their sons suffer is what drove them to use cannabis, and they have not looked back. Their children are the reason they do what they do, and if they could help more children that would be great.
Dr. Michael A. Rogawski, a neurologist for the UC Davis Medical Center, and an expert on seizures in children says the FDA does not regulate CBD. He said there is a lot of new development and testing of CBD taking place in the field of epilepsy at the moment. That’s certainly true! A new drug called Epidiolex is making waves, and it contains – you guessed it – CBD!
CBD has no psychoactive effect, but has anti-seizure properties, which have only been tested on two types of epilepsy, he said. He made it clear that he doesn’t recommend that parents take the treatment of epilepsy into their own hands.
Cannabinoid oil for seizure could be a solution
The best cannabinoid oil for seizures in children seems to be CBD oil containing low levels of THC similar to that used in Jayden’s juice. Speak to your health practitioners if you have a family member who suffers from epilepsy and want to obtain a cannabis treatment that is safe. You might be surprised at what they tell you!
