Rick Simpson Oil: Cancer Cure?
Rick Simpson: a man who swears by the cannabis oil he extracts, a crusader for medical marijuana, a man who has never sold a drop of oil in his life, but has given it away freely to those he believes it may help. He speaks of curing skin cancer, cervical cancer, glaucoma… You have to respect that. But is Rick Simpson Oil really a cure for cancer?
It may be, and scientists are investigating it with promising results, but we still don’t have anything 100% conclusive that can allow the medical establishment or the FDA to approve it as a cancer cure. For some, however, rick Simpson Oil seems to be the only possible answer. If… if… it can work for them, and if it can’t hurt them, they’re ready to give it a try.

But there are a few issues with Rick Simpson Oil
Although many people speak of Rick Simpson oil as being a hemp oil, it really is an oil extracted from marijuana. Hemp doesn’t make you high no matter what you do with it. Eat it, put it in a pipe and smoke it, vape it – nothing is going to happen. Marijuana on the other hand has only recently begun to be legalized, and in many states it is still seen as a completely illegal drug. It’s also an illegal drug under Federal Law.
But if you’re between a rock and a hard place, you might decide you’ll take your chances with getting high and handle having the cops turn up at your door.
Are these the only risks?
Well, there’s still the ‘little’ matter of contamination when you make rick Simpson Hemp Oil. Marijuana growers are dealing with a valuable crop, do you think that they will allow insects to spoil their harvests?
And there are other scary practices, some growers are even adding lead particles or spraying their produce with polymers to increase the weight. After all, marijuana is sold by the gram, so what if you add a few grams to your crop with chemicals? You get more money in your pocket! Mycotoxins from poor harvesting practices should also get a mention – it all gets a bit scary.
Moving on to extraction
Please folks, if you really must make your own extracts at home, don’t use butane or other solvents. If you really, really have no alternative, use an ethanol extraction technique and ensure that you purge out all the ethanol afterwards. Here’s a video showing you how…
However, even a ‘clean’ solvent extract won’t contain everything that is in the plants, and many believe that the antioxidants in cannabis have an important role to play in making it work properly.
Is there a solution?
Do a little of your own research, and you’ll find that non-psychoactive hemp contains a cannabinoid called CBD. It’s also being investigated in cancer trials, and in a study on mice, it was seen to reduce tumor size – and that’s just one study among many. Why get high if you don’t have to?
Next up, you can’t be arrested for possessing hemp oil. Why not? Because it doesn’t make you high and is not a drug. That’s two worries out the window! But how do you know that what you’re getting is really hemp oil? A lot of people are calling cannabis oil with a high THC content ‘hemp oil’ and that puts you back at square one.
There is hope. The EU hasn’t had the US’s love-hate relationship with non-psychoactive hemp. It is an important commercial crop, and some of the highest CBD strains of hemp come from Europe. Plus, regulated and reputable health companies are making hemp oils with both organic and GMP certification. GMP, means that the authorities recognize the product to be free from any harmful ingredients and that label claims are perfectly true.
How can you get your hands on that? Check out the Endoca website. They produce a supercritical CO2 extracted product that has all the goodness and none of the dangers.
Does it cure cancer?
To be honest, we don’t know any better than you do. We’ve read the news stories, we’ve seen the promising research results, we are hopeful, but we also believe it is too early to make any hard-and-fast claims about CBD and hemp oil.
Rick Simpson oil: cancer cure? We hope so, but we also hope that marijuana’s sister that doesn’t leave you unable to function properly mentally will live up to its equally promising beginnings. Check it out for yourself, and make an informed decision.
