Well, if you’re a fan of CBD and its potent therapeutic qualities, why not try CBD in new and exciting ways? To show you there are more ways than one when it comes to administering CBD, we’ve teamed up with our friends at Organic Livity; an increasingly popular Patisserie that specialises in raw, organic and vegan treats in London.
As outdated laws are reformed or erased completely, CBD is becoming far easier to get your hands in. So in celebration, the guys at Organic Livity have created some really special CBD infused recipes, so that you can feel the benefits of CBD in exciting and scrumptious new ways. Well, they’ve totally outdone themselves with this particular recipe, which we just can’t get over. Caramel, chocolate and nuts – can you name a more iconic trio?
Leave the guilt behind and check out this simple and healthful recipe for CBD infused ‘Raw Salted Caramel and Chocolate Bars’ you can make at home:
A selection of our products
Makes 15-18 Bars
For 1st layer - Nut mix
3 cups almonds (or cashews or a mix of both)
10-12 pitted dates
1 tbsp Hemp powder
For 2nd layer - Salted caramel and peanut
1/2 cup to 1 cup dried apricot, soaked in cold water overnight
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 cup peanuts
For 3rd layer - Chocolate ganache
3/4 cup raw chocolate powder (or carob powder)
1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
1 cup syrup (we used Yacon syrup but you can use rice or date syrup)
12 drops of 15% Endoca CBD oil
You will need
Rectangle cake pan, lined with baking/parchment paper
Mix the nuts and thinly chop them, then add the dates and mix until the mixture becomes sticky (add a 1tsp of water or more if needed).
Last add the hemp powder and mix a few seconds, just to combine.
Put the mixture in the prepared pan and press evenly until the surface become flat (help yourself of a spoon if needed, to press the mixture into place).
Place in the fridge.
Salted caramel and peanuts
Mix the soaked apricot (water discarded), along with the sea salt until very smooth (add a few tsp of fresh water to help with the blending process if needed).
Spoon over the first layer and spread evenly. Then layer the peanuts over the apricot caramel.
Mix all ingredients (except the CBD oil) until smooth. Then stir in the CBD oil by hand or with the mixer.
Pour the mixture over the second layer; using a spoon to flatten and even out.
Reserve in the freezer for 1h30 minimum or until fully set.
Cut out your bars and serve.
The cut bars will keep well in the freezer for up to a month (but they are so yummy, they may not last that long). The chocolate ganache melts at room temperature; if you want a thicker ganache, add more coconut oil to prevent it from melting too much.
