How to get Cannabis Oil

Published on:01/8/18

As the medicinal benefits of cannabis oil are increasingly recognized by researchers (if not the FDA), members of the public face a burning question: How to get cannabis oil? At the same time many are put off by the psychoactive effects related to cannabis oils made from high-THC cannabis strains (most often known as ‘marijuana’) but want the benefits of Cannabis without the psychoactive side effects.

Cannabis oil for wellness

Cannabis oil contains a high concentration of essential nutrients, and delivers a potent dose of antioxidants, but it is the controversial cannabinoids in cannabis that may have the greatest benefits of all.

The existence of the human endocannabinoid system that reacts to cannabinoids produced by the human body as well as cannabinoids form external sources is well-known. Its role in our health and wellbeing is still being explored, but early indications show that those who chose cannabis as a medicine thousands of years ago may not have been as ‘primitive’  or ‘superstitious’ as practitioners of conventional medicine have hitherto believed.

Preliminary research results certainly provide positive indications for the use of CBD from hemp oil as a therapy, but formal recognition for CBD oil as a treatment is still a long way off. For those who believe that CBD offers hope for the prevention and cure of illnesses the question of where to get cannabis oil remains a thorny issue.

There is no proper regulation of CBD health products in the US

Although culinary hemp oil is widely available, it does not contain a proven volume of CBD, and backyard businesses are taking advantage of this situation to sell ‘CBD oil’ without access to laboratory analysis of the actual cannabinoid content having been performed. Furthermore, the extraction processes used depend largely on the use of solvents which, if not properly purged from the oil, may present health complications of their own.

The cannabis health products market is more mature in the EU

The question of how to get Cannabis oil that won’t make the user ‘high’ but that contains the full benefits inherent in the hemp plant is leading many individuals in the US towards sourcing their cannabis health products in the European Union.

The potential for achieving Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) certification exists for these companies, and since this certification is applied to the manufacture of pharmaceutical products, it provides consumers with assurance that the cannabis oil they purchase has been produced and analysed according to scientific principles.

Endoca answers the question of how to get Cannabis Oil

In the US, the production of THC-rich strains of Cannabis has reduced CBD concentrations in herbal Cannabis. But the Scandinavian strains of hemp have been shown to have very high concentrations of CBD and extremely low concentrations of THC.

Endoca chooses these strains and ensures that the plants have been produced organically. A supercritical CO2 extraction process eliminates the problems of solvent residues and the denaturation of healthful ingredients through processes involving heating.

The products they produce have been accorded GMP certification and consumers can have confidence in the content of the oils owing to third party analysis in pharmaceutical laboratories.
