In fact, a recent study stated that around 70% of CBD products sold online are mislabelled. So you never really know what your products contain.
In saying that, there are ways to ensure your products are high quality, and maintain safe levels of the ingredients you do want:
- Purchase your products from reputable dispensaries that ask for a prescription: whether you live in a recreational cannabis state or not, this ensures that the dispensary is legal and registered.
- Only choose certified organic products if you can: this ensures that there are no nasties like heavy metals, toxins, fragrances or other additives hidden in your products.
