Hemp oil with THC to buy? Are you on drugs?
To clarify this rather incendiary title, we need to look at the different strains of cannabis, the cannabinoids they contain and just what they do to you and for you. So let’s begin by finding out why hemp oil with THC to buy is a reality, but not a drug!

Let’s do some botanizing!
A lot of people are calling marijuana ‘hemp’, but that’s not strictly true. Yes, the plants look exactly the same, belong to the same genus and even share the same species names, but they’re as different as day and night. How can this be possible? Surely botanists would make a distinction between a fiber crop (hemp) and the preferred ‘high’ of millions (marijuana). Well, botanically speaking, there is absolutely no difference between these two plants, but on a physical level, the effects when these two plants are consumed, smoked or vaporized are enormous. Why should that be?
Getting high, or thinking more clearly?
According to experts, there are ‘at least’ 104 different cannabinoids found in one plant genus and one genus only – the genus Cannabis. Of these, only two have been extensively studied: THC and CBD. They seem to work in a slightly different way in the human endocannabinoid system, but interestingly, they also seem to share many of the same medicinal benefits – at least – according to the research you’ll find in scientific journals. The official line is that only a few of the potential uses for cannabinoids have been sufficiently studied to gain FDA approval as prescription drugs.
What we do know, is that the hemp plant contains a lot of CBD and very little THC, and that the marijuana plant has very little CBD and lots and lots of THC. Anyone who has been exposed to stoner culture at some time in their lives will know that THC is the cannabinoid that makes you ‘high’.
CBD, on the other hand, actually clears the mind. It even counteracts the negative effect of THC.
Hemp oil with THC to buy: just what is it?
All hemp oil contains tiny amounts of THC. It’s certainly not enough to make you high or even to make you test positive for using drugs, but as a consumer, you find yourself in a position where the words ‘hemp’ and ‘marijuana’ are being used interchangeably, both by commercial organizations and the press. As a result, you just can’t know what you’re getting.
Hemp oil with THC to buy may have a kick like a donkey, in which case it isn’t really hemp, but marijuana oil, or it could be the hemp oil that might even help you to think more clearly.
How can you know what you’re getting?
In an unregulated industry, you don’t actually have a clue what you’re getting. It could even be toxic, but the hemp oil market isn’t unregulated everywhere in the world. In the EU, for example, producers of hemp oil are able to get their products fully certified as being in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). That means that the origins, content and processes used to produce the oil are fully verified by a third party organization. You know what you’re getting, and you know what it would do to you.
