Doctors gave Jason Kamara just three weeks to live. He had been in remission for five years when a brain tumor returned. This time, doctors held out no hope. Jason’s family was devastated, but now they have hope thanks to high CBD oil from cannabis.
Jason was a fit 44-year-old coach of the under-11 Boro Rangers. Seeing him in hospital unable to recognize his own family was shattering to them. It seemed like time to give up hope, but his family didn’t give up on him.
The Sun spoke to his daughter Amy, 24 who started Googling for a cure hoping for a miracle. She came across mountains of anecdotal evidence of people using cannabis oil for ailments with astounding success when they had no hope. What did she or her dad have to lose?
High CBD oil bought online
Hoping against hope that it would work, Amy bought some legal cannabis oil online. Within weeks, her dad’s speech returned, and he could walk again. He even attended a football game between the Boros and the Oxfords at the Riverside.
Jason is still living in a hospice, but his family has hope he will recover. He has already outlived the time doctors believed he had left, and they are grateful for that. Amy says that the cannabis oil sparks the receptors in the brain which cancer cuts off. Once the body jump-starts its natural immune system, it fights off cancer.
The oil is derived from a cannabis strain low in THC, the compound which induces euphoria, but is high in CBD, the compound which boosts the immune system and fights inflammation. It is also a very potent anti-oxidant.
Cannabis is illegal in the UK, and possession can land one in jail. Amy says cannabis has such a bad reputation that when people hear about cannabis oil, they can’t even think it is medicine. Her dad is not smoking joints. Although the oil contains a little THC, the high CBD cannabis oil definitely doesn’t make him high. His improvement is remarkable.

Doctors can’t believe his progress
It is four weeks after his first dose of cannabis oil, and doctors can’t believe the progress Jason has made since January. He will soon have a scan, and the family hopes the tumor has begun to shrink.
Dr. Kat Arney from Cancer Research UK, says there isn’t enough research evidence to prove that cannabis can treat cancer effectively and safely. But, she adds, doctors already use cannabis-based medication for treating nausea and wasting when patients receive standard chemotherapy. They also use cannabinoids to treat pain in cancer patients.
Support from the cannabis community
Jason’s family are going for the best high CBD oil they can find. The high-grade medicinal cannabis oil can become costly as Jason will need a regular supply. His brother set up a GoFundMe, page to try and help raise funds. In less than a day the pro-cannabis community came up with £1,915 for Jason to receive treatments.
Amy says the family couldn’t believe the support they received. People they have never met sent messages of support and good wishes for Jason’s recovery. They have also received great support from the football community, and everyone is keeping their fingers crossed for Jason’s next scan.
CBD oil for cancer
Preliminary studies on tumor cell cultures in the laboratory show strong anti-tumor effects, with CBD causing apoptosis (programmed cell death) in malignant cells (Kogan 2005; Ligresti et al 2006)
However, we should remember that there are many types of cancer and that what works in a test tube doesn’t necessarily work in the human body. Meanwhile, Jason’s family is happy, and we hope that high CBD oil will bring about the lasting cure they’re hoping for.
