Bradley, 22 years old, had been struggling with depression for a while, before one day trying to take his own life in November 2015, jumping off a 40ft road by road bypass bridge, shattering his right knee cap and breaking his right elbow.
Thankfully, Bradley survived and these broken bones were fixed in surgery with metal plates and tensioned wire. However Bradley still suffers from depression, PTSD, anxiety, vertigo, and nerve damage pain from the injury he sustained. He contacted the Endoca Foundation halfway through 2017, telling us about his situation and asking the Foundation if they were able to help him access CBD extracts to use for his rehabilitation.
Before CBD, Bradley was (and still partially is) on a cocktail of different medications to deal with his symptoms.
Antidepressants called Venlafaxine and Mirtazapine, Gabapentin for his nerve damage pain, Tramadol and Morphine for the overall pain relief, Cinnairzine and Betahistine for his vertigo, and Lansoprazole for preventing stomach ulcers and acid reflux due to the large doses of drugs he had been prescribed.
Bradley was researching alternatives to his conditions and multiple medications, when he came across CBD. He joined a CBD support group on Facebook and began investigating, asking questions and enquiring to others about their experiences with the products to help him understand what exactly this product was and how it could help him.
He reached out to the users there to find a brand that could possibly help him acquire the products at a price he could afford, without having to compromise on quality. One of the users informed Bradley about Endoca and our Foundation that helps assist those who may be otherwise unable to afford CBD extracts.
Before getting in touch with us and starting with our CBD extracts, Bradley told us he was very depressed, fighting constantly with suicidal thoughts and in constant pain due to his injury.
After around one month of taking our 15% CBD Hemp Oil drops, he noticed his mood wasn't really down anymore and he started to feel better - his suicidal thoughts reduced to nearly no thoughts at all.
He also noticed his pain had begun to reduce, to the point where he is able to sit comfortably again without the constant nagging pain that he was experiencing before due to this injury. He now uses half a dropper, 3 times a day, and finds that this amount is his personal ‘sweet spot’ where he finds the most relief.
Luckily for Bradley, his friends and family have been extremely supportive through his CBD journey, especially after Bradley shared with them the wonderful improvements these extracts have had on his life. He is thankful that he lives in a place where CBD is completely legal and totally accessible, and believes alcohol is far more dangerous.
Before Bradley started using CBD extracts, his opinion on cannabis was that this plant was a drug and he didn’t support the idea of legalisation, believing it to be dangerous. However after he conducted his own research and learned about the potential in the plant, he now supports full access.
"I wouldn't be alive right now if it wasn't for CBD. It has really helped my life and I couldn't live without CBD. I'm really thankful that I was able to get access to these products and I hope to continue having the support from the Foundation to get access to them, until I’m able to purchase it myself. “
