61-year-old lifelong migraine sufferer, Corlette Frawley, discovered CBD oil for migraine. She can’t believe the effect it had, and is off all painkillers.
The Irish Times reports on Colette Frawley, a woman who has been on painkillers since the age of 10. She recently discovered CBD oil for migraine. She says she has been on almost every painkiller there is on the market, but since she started the CBD oil, she has not taken a single painkiller.
This is remarkable, and Colette is so ecstatic with the results she is having with CBD oil that she spends every moment she can telling other people about her new found “miracle”.
People don’t know about CBD oil for migraines and pain
Collette says she didn’t know about CBD oil for migraine until a friend told her. There are other people who don’t know the benefits CBD oil could have in store for them. She says she has never in her life used any illegal substance, and would never consider it, but she was at her wits’ end when her friend, who has cancer, told her CBD oil helps for pain.
Collette was diagnosed with an aneurysm in her brain, which causes severe pain which she describes as being like a needle stuck into her skull. In 1981, doctors discovered she had
AVM. This condition also causes extreme pain caused by an abnormal connection between veins and arteries.
For many years, Collette had three day long headaches every month, but lately she had them every single day. Life became unbearable because of the constant pain. She was on the strongest painkillers on the market.

No time to waste
As soon as she heard about the CBD oil her friend used for pain, she ordered some from the Netherlands. There was no problem at customs, and the oil was reasonably priced, so she could afford it. She received it within a fortnight of ordering.
Collette decided beforehand she would go off all painkillers when she received the cannabidiol oil to see if it really had any effect on her pain. The first time she took three drops she felt the pain ease away immediately. She thought it was just coincidence, or psychosomatic, but it worked, and she hasn’t needed painkillers since.
The effect on pain is similar to morphine
Collette describes the effect of the CBD oil as similar to that of morphine. It immediately lifts the pain as soon as you take it, but takes about an hour to really work, leaving her with a “normal” headache.
Frawley says that after reading up everything she could about cannabis for pain she discovered the psychoactive compound in medical marijuana THC may have an even a stronger analgesic effect. Sativex, a cannabis-based medicine prescribed to MS patients, contains both CBD and THC and is licensed in the state, but availability is limited to a few patients.
She wonders whether higher THC will leave her pain free
Collette says she believes that if she had access to a product containing THC as well as CBD, she would be completely pain free. She was shocked when she discovered there is such a product available, but her government will not allow her to use it. She argues that if those individuals had similar pain to endure, or had children suffering seizures they would be quick to make the medicine available.
She tried to speak to her neurologist, but the specialist didn’t want to hear a thing. In fact, she refused to even listen to the word cannabis being mentioned…
Frawley wants everyone to know about CBD oil for migraine in the hope that it will help others as it helped her. However, it should be remembered that migraines are still not well understood, and seem to be triggered by a wide range of factors.
