If you’re an Endoca customer, we know we’re preaching to the converted when we say that CBD is an amazing natural compound with a whole host of potential health benefits. You tell us time and time again in your feedback the difference CBD has made to your own health. But now a survey carried out by HelloMD – an online community of medical cannabis users – alongside the Brightfield Group, has asked some probing questions to see just how effective CBD users think their medical cannabis products are.
They collected data from over 2,400 HelloMD cannabis community members, mostly based in California, but also including the rest of the USA and Europe. While some of the results are California specific – i.e. in most countries in the world it’s not possible to pop down to the local dispensary and buy some CBD dominant products extracted from marijuana – there is certainly plenty to be gleaned from the findings related to hemp derived CBD.
And the Survey says… CBD is effective
According to the survey, the majority of users are white and female, with vaping being the consumption method of choice. 41% of people use CBD daily, with approximately the same amount saying that they have stopped taking conventional medication and use cannabis instead. This backs up the experience of 69% of people who use hemp derived CBD products that say they are more or much more effective in relieving their medical conditions than over the counter products, and 56% who say they are more effective than prescription medication.

What do people use CBD for?
Almost 70% of people taking CBD use it to relieve anxiety, 60% for insomnia or sleep problems, 52% for joint pain and inflammation, 44% for depression, 34% for migraines or tension headaches, 31% for severe or chronic pain. And of those, 80% found CBD a very effective treatment.
So it’s yet another indication that as CBD becomes more widely available, people are finding it as effective if not more so than conventional medication.
With stats like these, surely it’s time that governments around the world take note, and start taking steps towards offering CBD oil as a safe alternative to many of the prescription medication available for conditions like anxiety and chronic pain.
