Remembering to take supplements every day can sometimes be difficult as well as laborious, but what if we told you there was an easy and delicious way to do it?
CBD edibles have a multitude of benefits, and whilst they can be especially great for those suffering with nausea, they also have a great potential for people who want to take CBD as a wellness supplement.
CBD for Wellness
CBD continues to produce positive results for people with autoimmune diseases and has for a while now, but as the benefits of CBD on the general body are becoming more apparent, more people are also taking it as a wellness supplement. Whilst you don’t need quite as potent a formula as those who are ill, its interaction with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) can have positive effects on almost everyone who takes it.
As the ECS runs throughout most of our bodies, it affects almost all our daily functioning, including hormone regulation, appetite, digestion, sleep, pain, and mood. CBD works by indirectly activating this system, and whilst it’s not known exactly how it works, numerous studies have shown its positive effects.
For those taking CBD for wellness, it can have a multitude of positive effects. Firstly, it is thought that CBD activates the production of mood enhancing hormones like serotonin and dopamine, the release of which can have a relaxing and positive effect on both mood and any anxiety. This is also thought to help with sleeping patterns.
Secondly, CBD is full of nutritional goodness. It is a powerful antioxidant, meaning it can help fight those nasty free radicals keeping your body and skin free from pollutants. CBD also contains an ideal amount of fatty acids Omega-3 and Omega-6, which not only help keep your skin and hair glowing, but also helps to fight off heart disease.
As well as this, CBD edibles can be especially great if you are concerned about your gut health. Problems in this area normally come from inflammation of intestines, as seen in conditions like IBS. As the ECS works hard to help regulate our guts, CBD can help affect it with its anti-inflammatory properties.
The use of CBD also differs from THC, as the purpose isn’t to change your state of mind, but in fact to remove bad feelings from your body in order to bring you back to your best self.

What are CBD Edibles?
CBD edibles are quite simply foods containing some form of CBD oil. These can be incorporated into a variety of different foods, being anything from sweet treats like CBD gummies, to infused in an olive oil as a salad dressing.
As there are many different ways of taking CBD, you may be wondering what the benefits of CBD edibles are. Other than being a fun and more diverse way of taking it, it can also take away the feeling of making it seem like a chore. Incorporating it into your daily routine by consuming it through food will help you center it as part of your wellness journey.
When you are taking edibles it is important to remember that there are two main types, and find the one best suits what you are trying to achieve. Edibles are either absorbed orally or are absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. Oral edibles are typically those like gummies and lollipops – as they are mainly absorbed in the mouth, they tend to kick in quite quickly, but also wear off more easily. Gastro-intestinal edibles are often food products that get absorbed in the stomach, so though they take longer to fully kick in, the effects can last for up to eight hours.
CBD gum are a particularly popular choice of edible as they are perfect for a discrete, on the go boost if you need them. As CBD can be particularly helpful in practices like yoga and meditation, where it is essential for your mind and body to relax, taking a CBD gummy with you to class can be a perfect way to enhance your experience. Don’t worry if you don’t have time to make them yourself though, as there are many CBD gums, chocolates and treats you can get premade.
