Cooking with CBD oil is rapidly gaining in popularity and with so many of you discovering new and wonderful ways to enjoy CBD, a wide array of recipes are now circulating in a variety of online communities.
While oral consumption of CBD has a lower bioavailability (4 to 20%) than other methods, it has been shown to produce longer lasting effects.
So, if you like to consume CBD orally, or you want to try CBD but haven’t done so yet, why not give some of these healthy (but really delicious) recipes a try.
Here are 4 of our favourites:
Turmeric CBD Drink
Our first recipe is a potent anti-inflammatory drink that combines CBD with Turmeric, Honey, Ginger and Black Pepper.
Much like CBD, the popularity of Turmeric has risen sharply in recent years with the ayurvedic spice said to offer a wide variety of health benefits with studies revealing its particularly powerful anti-inflammatory properties.
With CBD also known for its many potential health benefits, including inflammation reduction, this drink is easily one of the best anti-inflammatory tonics available.
When you add Turmeric (and black pepper) to CBD, it also increases the bioavailability of CBD, allowing your body to absorb the CBD more effectively.
Mixed with honey and ginger, this potent combination is said to help to prevent chronic conditions, especially those caused by inflammation.
1 cup of warm water
2 teaspoons of organic honey
1 inch of turmeric root or 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1 inch of ginger root
1 cup of almond milk
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
a sprinkling of salt and black pepper
1-2 drops of CBD tincture
First, warm the almond milk in a saucepan. Then put all the other ingredients (including the milk) into a food processor or blender and mix.
Finally, simply pour into a glass with ice and enjoy!

Very Berry CBD Smoothies
Start your day with a delicious and nutritious CBD Smoothie; a great way to boost your energy levels in the morning.
CBD is said to interact with the brain in a way that stimulates certain areas, potentially resulting in more awareness and alertness. When consumed in the morning as a CBD smoothie, this can actually give you increased levels of energy and alertness throughout the day.
We all know the importance of fruits and vegetables, and when we combine these wonderful nutrients with CBD, we end up with not only a delicious drink but something that may actually provide you with countless health benefits.
1 cup almond milk (or your favorite non-dairy alternative)
A Handful of kale or spinach
2 teaspoons of organic honey (Manuka honey is recommended)
½ a banana
1/4 cup of blueberries
1/4 cup of pineapple
A handful of strawberries
A handful of raspberries
1-2 drops CBD oil
First, blend the kale or spinach with the almond milk in a blender or food processor. Make sure to blend until it is well processed and you don’t have any green chunks floating around.
Then, add your fruits, honey and a drop or 2 of CBD oil. Blend until smooth and serve chilled with ice.

CBD Infused Guacamole
Avocados are one of life’s most impressive vegetables. Now known as a “superfood”, Avocados are packed with nutrients and provide an abundance of health benefits. When you combine them with tomatoes, onions, and coriander, they form the wonderful Mexican dip called Guacamole.
Both CBD and Avocados are known for their powerful anti-inflammatory powers and you can get the benefits of both with this spectacular Guacamole recipe.
Avocados actually have more potassium than bananas, while they also help to reduce cholesterol, they are full of healthy fats, fibers, and various important nutrients. When fused with tomatoes, onions, coriander, and CBD, they can provide a tantalizingly tasty yet health-conscious Guacamole dip that will leave you and your dinner guests begging for more (it's probably best to let them know all of the ingredients before serving!)
Ingredients (Serves 6 to 8)
4 Smashed Avocados
1 Cup of diced Tomatoes
1/2 Cup of chopped white onion
1/2 Cup of finely chopped coriander
2 Tbsp organic lime juice
5 Drops of CBD oil
1 Minced garlic clove
1 Pinch of salt and pepper (or cayenne pepper if you like the spice!)
In a large bowl, mash all the ingredients together, starting with the avocados, followed by the lime juice, salt, and onion. Then add the coriander, tomatoes, and garlic.
It is important to note that the success of your guacamole is greatly dependent on the ripeness and quality of the avocado. You always want the avocado to be ripe but not too ripe and remember the importance of sourcing locally produced, organic vegetables.
Make sure to serve immediately once prepared (guacamole turns brown quite quickly) to enjoy this traditional latin favorite.
Vegan CBD Brownies
Ok, our final recipe might not be the healthiest, but it may just be the tastiest of them all. I mean really, who doesn’t enjoy a brownie? CBD works well when combined with fats, so this is the perfect combo!
So, if we are going to be bad, let’s at least try to be a little healthy with these delicious Vegan CBD Brownies.
Ingredients (Yields 24 brownies)
4 Cups of organic all-purpose flour
3 Cups granulated sugar
2 Cups of cocoa powder or macao powder
1 ½ Teaspoon salt
1 Tbsp. baking powder
2 Cups of applesauce
½ Cup of agave
1 ½ Cups of sunflower oil
3 Tbsp CBD oil
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
2 Cups mini chocolate chips
6 Tbsp. cocoa nibs
First of all, combine all of the dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Then, in a separate container, combine and mix all of the wet ingredients.
Combine the two mixtures and pour the batter onto two 9x12" paper-lined and lightly-oiled baking pans.
Top off with cocoa nibs before baking in a fan assisted oven at 325 degrees F for 12 minutes.
Finally, allow the brownies to cool down, cut each sheet into 12 portions and treat yourself to one of life’s little indulgences.
